What data we collect, why, where it is kept and how to delete it.

WHO HANDLES YOUR DATA

WHAT WE COLLECT, AND WHY
Your email address - to let you in and to write to you. We sign you in by a link sent to that address, or by a password if you set one. The password is kept as a hash by our sign-in provider (Supabase), and we never see it.
Your display name and picture - this is how other people see you in the community. You choose both, and you can change or remove them.
Your place of residence and time zone - the sky of your day is computed for that place.
The moment and place of your birth - your natal chart is computed from them. We say this plainly because this is the most sensitive thing we hold: a person can be identified by it. You are not required to enter it, and the rest of the service works without it.
Your journal entries and practice marks - private to you. We store them to show them back to you and to prepare your daily reading.
Your PRANA movements - what was credited and what was spent.
How the app is used - pages opened, features used, errors. We keep this to fix what breaks and to see what nobody uses. We do not build advertising profiles.
Payments - we do not see or store your card. Payment is handled by our payment provider, who acts as merchant of record. We receive the fact of payment and the amount, never your card details.
WHAT WE NEVER DO
- We do not sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
- We do not show your journal to other users.
- We do not use your birth data for anything except your own calculations.
- We do not send marketing email you did not ask for.
WHO ELSE SEES IT
Only the services that make the app run: our hosting and database provider, our email sender, our payment provider, and the language model that writes your daily reading. Each sees only what it needs, and none of them may use it for their own purposes.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
While your account exists. When you delete it, we delete your journal, your birth data and your entries within 30 days. Payment records we must keep longer, because tax law requires it.
YOUR RIGHTS
Write to legal@amaya.guru and we will, within 30 days:
- send you a copy of everything we hold about you;
- correct anything wrong;
- delete your account and its content.
No form, and no reason required.
COOKIES
We use cookies to keep you signed in and to count visits. We do not use advertising cookies, and we respect Do-Not-Track.
CHANGES
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we tell paying customers by email at least 14 days before it takes effect.
